1. Will Nubbin and Dido (from CW#1) show up again? The Sully cousins turn up again very soon; I also plan to do at least one "flashback" story, featuring their rather large family, set in their old hometown.
2. Does Jain get a "love interest"?
Yes, and she's not the only one! There's romance a-budding throughout the whole story.
3. When will the identity of Pindar's father be revealed?
Everything will be revealed at the end of The Long Road Home.
4. Is there ever going to be any swordfighting?
CW isn't a "sword and sorcery" type fantasy; the main conflicts in the story involve very little bloodshed. There is some "incidental" fighting, however.
5. What about magic?
Magic becomes an important part of the story in The Long Road Home; there will be several "magical" characters showing up.
6. Are there any elves in Castle Waiting?
No. No elves, no faeries, and no unicorns. Sorry.
7. What's coming up?
Castle Waiting is a complete story as opposed to an ongoing, open-ended serial. Think of it as an "episodic drawn novel". The story divides itself into a prologue, The Curse of Brambly Hedge, which is followed (not necessarily in chronological order) by : The Lucky Road, The Long Road Home, The Iron Heart and The Golden Ball. The finale is told in the last Castle Waiting story, The Back Gate of Heaven. There will also be an epilogue, a single issue that brings the story back to Jain once again.
